Every July, all Sound of Central marching band members are required to attend a two-week Band Camp. At this camp, we practice fundamentals, learn music, and set drill to prepare for the upcoming competitive marching season. This is where the majority of the show is taught and, therefore, attendance is absolutely mandatory. Our goal this year is to have the entire show on the field before the end of camp. If you are absent from practice, not only are you missing an important rehearsal, but also it is much more difficult for everyone else to work around your empty spot on the field.
Lunch will be provided everyday from our cafeteria (like school lunch). Seniors may leave for dinner with a signed note from a parent. All other students can have food dropped off or leave with a parent. A refrigerator and microwave are provided for students who bring their food. The band store sells sodas and snacks during breaks.
